Bathroom design and material planning

Coordinate the look, the layout, and the materials before ordering.

Bathrooms concentrate many decisions in a small space. Tile, fixtures, lighting, storage, and installation details need to support one another rather than being selected in isolation.

Establish the layout and storage

Start with the location of the vanity, toilet, shower, and doors. Think about daily storage and how doors and drawers open. Confirm product dimensions before treating a showroom arrangement as a fit for your room.

Choose tile for its intended use

Wall tile and floor tile are not interchangeable by appearance alone. Check the manufacturer’s intended applications and relevant performance information. Shower finishes also need compatible installation and waterproofing details from the responsible installer or design professional.

Coordinate the visible details

Compare tile with grout, edge treatments, vanity finish, hardware, mirror, and lighting. Decide how transitions and exposed edges will be resolved. Those small junctions can determine whether the finished room feels deliberate.

Turn selections into a purchasing plan

Verify field dimensions, coverage, layout, waste allowances, and packaging before ordering. Full Set Designs palettes can establish the direction; a measured material takeoff or custom adaptation can be scoped for your bathroom. Quantities should be checked against the final installation plan.

A common question

Does selecting shower tile specify the waterproofing?

No. A finish selection does not define the complete shower assembly. The waterproofing and installation system must be specified and installed for the project and selected products.
